The Track and Field season is just around the corner which means EYAL is starting! This is a league for boys and girls in the under 13, under 15 and under 17 age groups (School Years 6-11). With around 25 clubs taking part in 5 fixtures a year in a “round robin” league there are finals for the top six clubs and a plate final. Events from sprints to pole vault are covered. DETAILS FOR THE FIRST MATCH
What: Eastern Young Athletes League (EYAL)
Where: Stevenage (Ridlins End Athletics Track, SG2 9PG)
When: Sunday 15 April, from 11-5pm. Please consult the timetable for event times. Please arrive one hour before your first event to register at the designated team area.
Transport: We are encouraging lift shares where possible. Please indicate on the entry form if you are meeting at the venue, require a lift or can take other athletes to the event.
Who can compete: Any St Albans AC paid club member between Year 6 and Year 11 (inclusive) and regardless of level of ability. This match does include non-scoring athletes (as well as scoring), so EVERYONE (Club members Y6 to Y11) is invited to take part – we would like everyone to participate in more than one event if possible. Athletes can compete in up to 3 events each plus relay (team selected). You can check the times on the timetable. Please note, the number of non-scoring athletes for field events is limited to 2 per club; we will contact athletes if these spaces are filled.

PLEASE NOTE, YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO TAKE PART IF YOU ARE A FULLY PAID UP MEMBER OF ST ALBANS ATHLETIC CLUB. Once you have registered, please allow at least 3 working days for your England Athletics Number (EAN) to come through. IMPORTANT – The Club asks that the parent/carer of every athlete agrees to help out at least 3 times every year. On the day:
- Club vests must be worn (order on-line on the Kit Orders page)
- Please ensure you bring sufficient food, water, suncream/waterproof clothing as appropriate
- Track spikes can be worn
