The Chiltern League Race 4 is next Saturday, 12 January 2019, at Keysoe Equestrian Centre, Bedfordshire, MK44 2JP.
We hope as many of you as possible plan to come to this round of the Chiltern League. This course is a favourite for many of our members – so if you are hesitating please do come and get your new year off with a splash! Supporters please bring your cameras – the water jump is entertaining and makes for some interesting photos.
If you haven’t completed a Chiltern League race this season and haven’t signed up then please click here to complete our online registration form by Thursday 10 January so we can get you on the system. If you took your number home at a previous race please check you have it and bring it with you. If its lost then please let me know asap and ensure you arrive very early on Saturday.
There is an indoor equestrian event being held on the same day but we do not anticipate that this will cause any problems and part of the work that has taken place at the venue is the improvement of some of the car parks. We would ask that you follow the instructions of the car-parking marshals to ensure a safe flow of traffic through the site.

13:00: U17 Women/U20 Women
13.15: Senior Women
13.40: U17 Men
14.00: Junior Men/Senior Men
Please remember to arrive 1 hour before your race time for registration and warm up.
The courses will be unchanged except for some minor tweaking to take account of some changes at the venue. The water splash will be used and possibly another smaller water feature for all but the U11 race. A course map can be seen by clicking here.
The café/restaurant will be available on the day but please don’t go over there in spikes or very muddy footwear.
Please do bring a complete set of spare clothes, towels, plastic bags and footwear – one or two have thought they might try swimming through the water feature in previous years so it’s best to be prepared!
We do need volunteers to take the tent and bring it back to provide shelter and volunteers to help on registration – we expect all parents of runners to volunteer at least once during the XC season and if we all share the load it makes it manageable. Please note anybody who plans to run in the Chiltern league or other XC events is very welcome to attend the middle distance specific training at 6-7pm on a Tuesday evening in addition to the general training sessions. Meet near the track at 5.55pm.
