The final Chiltern League fixture is to be held in Campbell Park, Central Milton Keynes MK9 4AD, on Saturday 8 February 2020.

We ask all members to try to come and run at Milton Keynes as this will be the last opportunity for many to run in a cross country race this season and you can help boost our chances of winning some team awards. Every person counts – so whatever your running experience or ambitions please come along. Friends and family are welcome to run – but if they are not a St Albans or another athletic club member they will need to pay £5 and get a number from the Cricket Pavilion.

If you haven’t run a Chiltern League race yet this season – entry is simple and free – you just need to pre-register by clicking here.

If you took your number home at a previous race please check you have it and bring it with you. If it’s lost then please let me know asap and ensure you arrive extra early on Saturday. Email middledistanceadmin@stalbansac.co.uk

The course

The course is mainly on grasslands and is undulating in places including some favourite spots – Unicorn Hill and the Mini Dipper. Spikes or studs are advisable. The course is spectator-friendly, but please be aware of pedestrians/dogs/cyclists going through the park. The senior men’s race start location will be different from all other starts, due to numbers.

Maps of the courses can be downloaded by clicking here

Travel

Travelling from the M1, exit at Junction 14 and take the H5/Portway until you see signs for Campbell Park Cricket Pavilion. From the A5, take the Central Milton Keynes exit and continue along the H5/Portway towards Campbell Park. The park is situated at the John Lewis end of the shopping centre. Parking is free in the bays along Silbury Boulevard, which runs alongside the park. Extra parking is available near the shopping area, but this is pay and display. Do not park on Silbury Boulevard, as you will be clamped. Tents may be dropped off at the cricket pavilion entrance and wheeled to the start/finish area.

Facilities

Portable toilets will be situated close to the start area. There will be a refreshment van close to the start area, serving food and hot/cold drinks.
