TEMPORARY TRAINING TIMETABLE (AUTUMN 2018)

While the track is being re-laid we will be training in the park and making use of Westminster Lodge gym. Please check this page regularly for latest updates on training times as we will need to adjust them depending on sunset times and coach availability.

Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 Athletes

Thursday training sessions will continue to run from 6.30pm. We still need parents to step in to help with coaching who are available at 6:30pm. Can you please send an email to Peter Poulain at vicechair@stalbansac.co.uk if you can help.

Sundays club sessions will remain the same but just train in the park.

Year 7 Athletes

Thursdays – Year 7’s from September will train with 2nd session on Thursdays. Largely we will have two groups until we get back onto the track. Strength and Conditioning in the gym 7:30-8.30pm on Thursdays and The Middle Distance and Cross Country group who will be training in the park at 7:30pm. While the track is closed, year 7’s may wish to build up their stamina by training at the 5k Park Run or to take part in the Chiltern League Cross Country in October. There is also the Sprint Group held in Westminster Lodge on Thursdays. If you are year 7 have a chat with Adrian Pattison when you are next at training. Any year 7 parents who can get involved while the track is closed to special this group please send an email to Peter Poulain at vicechair@stalbansac.co.uk or see Adrian.

Tuesdays the normal Middle Distance session will continue at 6pm. Sprint athletes are having an athlete rest period for the extra Monday & Wednesday sessions but keep in touch with Tim & Phil for specials.

Year 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & Adult Athletes

Thursdays – Tim & Phil will be leading Strength and Conditioning sessions in the gym 7:30-8:30pm on Thursdays for sprint athletes and any other squads (Throws/Jumps) who want to join in. The Middle Distance and Cross Country group who will be training in the grass area around the track under lights at 7:30pm. Other squads (Throws/Jumps) are equally welcome to join for some endurance work. In either case we will try and adapt the main training to suit if you speak to the coaches.
